  Hess & Eisenhardt Fuel Tank Removal

Introduction:

The Hess fuel system is more complex than the standard XJ-S fuel system. This section will describe the removal of the rear fuel tank.. The fwd tank is some what smaller and appears to be better designed with regard to structural integrity. Before reading this section I suggest the reader refers to the fuel problems page to gain a little background.

Two Fuel Tanks!

Yes the Hess has two fuel tanks, see the pictures below:

The two tanks are connected by a small rubber pipe at the center of the assembly
